In appreciation of our employees’ continued dedication and hard work, SCIB marked the Labour Day 2025 celebration by distributing food packs on 30th April 2025 to all staff across our operational locations, including SCIB HQ, Sejingkat IBS, SPDL Demak Laut, Lawas project site, and Nilai Corporate Office. We believe that our employees are our greatest asset, and initiatives like this aim to foster a culture of gratitude, unity, and care across the organization.

In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, SCIB and Kelab SCIB jointly organized a Majlis Berbuka Puasa as part of our ongoing staff welfare initiatives. Held under the theme “Berbuka Dengan Rasa Syukur, Memberi Dengan Rasa Kasih,” the event aimed to foster unity, strengthen camaraderie, and nurture a spirit of gratitude and compassion among SCIB employees in this blessed month. The Majlis Berbuka Puasa was held at SCIB’s respective locations, with participation from a total of 343 employees – 309 in Kuching (Sarawak), 4 in Lawas, and 30 in Nilai.

In celebration of the Chinese New Year, our team gathered for a festive event filled with joy and cultural appreciation. The highlight was a captivating lion dance performance, symbolizing good luck, prosperity, and success for the year ahead. The lively atmosphere strengthened our workplace connections and created a warm, engaging environment, with laughter and smiles shared by all. To wrap up the celebration, the management presented angpows, adding to the festive spirit and making the event even more memorable.

We are excited to announce that SCIB is proudly supporting Nur Zulaikha binti Mohd Rasidi, the daughter of one of our dedicated employees, as she represents Malaysia in the ITF Taekwon-do Asian Championship 2024. The event will be held in Bengaluru, India, from 19 to 25 August 2024. In line with our commitment to staff welfare and the development of young talent, SCIB has sponsored her participation. We wish Nur Zulaikha the very best and are honoured to support her on this international stage.

To support and ensure the physical and mental well-being of our employees, SCIB sponsored 50 slots for the “Run To Save Lives 4.0” 5KM event. This initiative underscores SCIB’s commitment to promoting a healthy work-life balance and fostering a supportive environment for our employees.

The Education Awards were presented to the children of Kelab SCIB members who achieved outstanding results in their SPM examinations and higher education. Seven students received awards for their SPM results, and one student was honored for outstanding performance in her Diploma studies. Additionally, a special token was presented to an employee for his Newborn Baby. To mark this occasion, a buffet was arranged for the attendees. These awards celebrate academic excellence and dedication among the students, highlighting their achievements in their respective educational pursuits.

In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha and Hari Gawai 2024, the SCIB Club successfully distributed food packs for Kuching staff and organized a buffet-style meal in Nilai exclusively for SCIB club members and interns. A total of 262 food packs were distributed in Kuching, and a buffet was hosted in Nilai for 26 participants. This event aimed to honour the contributions and serve as a gesture of appreciation to our dedicated SCIB club members and interns.

To support and encourage the younger generation to showcase their sporting talents, SCIB is honored to sponsor one of our employee’s daughter; Ms Nur Zulaikha Binti Mohd Rasidi, who will represent Malaysia at the 22nd ITF TAEKWON-DO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP to be held from August 19 to 27, 2023 in Astana, Kazakhstan. We wish her all the best and congratulate her on qualifying to represent Malaysia, she makes us proud!

Fun filled team-building programme for all the new staff in Cyberjaya office with the objective to promote trust and teamwork among the team, to acquire understanding and develop dynamism between every member of the the group.

It was truly an unforgettable Annual Dinner for SCIB this year. During this special night, all SCIB’s staff and management team dressed up in accordance with our theme, “Classical Night Dinner” . Emcees for the night were the bubbly Affick Wazai and Fir Affandi who have entertained us jokes. The night was filled with music from the live band performance and was enlightened by a surprise speech by our Chairman, YBhg. Dato Dr. Ir. Ts. Mohd Abdul Karim Bin Abdullah via video conferencing. We were fascinated by the beautiful cultural dance performance and the creative singing and dancing show presented by our employees. In this prestigious event, we extended our appreciation to our staff with long service awards and lucky draws during our dinner. We recognised that this event gives us a great opportunity to strengthen the individual bonds and to motivate our employees.

Under the direction of our new management team led by YBhg Dato’ Dr. Ir. Ts. Mohd Abdul Karim Bin Abdullah, Chairman of SCIB, SCIB had organised our first everTownhall meeting on 15 February 2020 as a platform for leaders to engage with all the employees and to share important updates about the Company’s strategy and direction as well as giving the opportunity to all employees to share their concerns, feedback and views. This 2 way-communications plays a significant role in shaping our culture and values.

There is nothing stopping us from also extending some of the fun to our workplace! In keeping with traditions, SCIB staff ushered in the new lunar year by witnessing a thrilling lion dance performance, lohei (a prosperity toss) and followed up by a speech from our Group CEO/MD. This gives the opportunity for the management and staff to embrace cultural diversity in the office by uniting people of different cultures in welcoming the new year with customs that shall bring good luck, good fortune, wealth, prosperity and happiness.

On 15 December 2019, SCIB organised Sports Day at Padang Jubilee MBKS packed with loads of friendly competition, race, games and activities to encourage our employees to get out in the sunshine and have healthy fun which also helps team building. We believe that Impeccable teamwork can help yield stellar results. By engaging in these activities, everyone on the team works towards a common goal where it helps build unity and camaraderie among employees and the management team.

To celebrate the joy of dual celebration of Gawai and Raya, we have organized a get-together gathering that signifies the unity of our people regardless of diverse ethnics origins and religious beliefs.

To strengthen the working relationship amongst the employees and to commemorate the holy month of Ramadhan.

To create a platform for social interaction and to encourage employees have regular exercise or physical activity.

The objective of this training is to educate workers a basic, concrete understanding of how to recognize hazardous situations and how to problem solve appropriately when the situation or task changes or when something unexpected happens.
