Requirements

  1. Malaysian or Sponsored Student pursuing an undergraduate degree in higher learning institutions, either in Malaysia or overseas, in related disciplines where internship is a mandatory part of course completion (preference will be given to third and final year students).
  2. Application is also open to Malaysian pursuing diploma degree in higher learning institutions, either in Malaysia or overseas, in technical / engineering disciplines where internship is a mandatory part of course completion
  3. Internship participation for a minimum duration of three (3) months and maximum of six (6) months.
  4. Submission of the following documents (completed documents MUST be submitted via email to hr@scib.com.my)
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Copy of latest academic results
    • Copy of the Industrial Training / Internship Letter (signed by the University)

Terms & Conditions

  1. Application must be submitted three (3) months prior to the commencement of internship period.
  2. Should you not receive any reply from us within two (2) months prior to the start date of your internship duration, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
  3. Acceptance OR declination of offer must be notified within five (5) working days.

Head of PMT

Responsibilities

  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs with the help of appropriate verification techniques
  • Build and maintain relationship with third parties/vendors
  • Lead, guide and influence stakeholders regarding Project Governance and good project practices
  • Allocate resource and ensure their availability
  • Prepare and review comprehensive project documentation
  • Analyze and manage risks in order to minimize the negative effect on a project
  • Monitor project performance with the help of appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Drive a team of PM’s to prepare a detailed, rapid project plan to track progress
  • Maintain relations with the client and all stakeholders
  • Prepare reports and present them to senior management as needed
  • Oversee the timely delivery of all projects, ensuring they remain within the project scope and within budget
  • Organize and coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Develop PMO processes, project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Management

Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objective
  • Liaise with subcantractors and consultants on project related matters
  • Assign project tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, budget and expenditure and make sure project costing and schedule are always within limit
  • Assess project risks and provide solutions where applicable/minimize risk
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meeting
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • ensure clients’ needs are met as project evolves
  • Regularly report to the GM of Project & Procurement on the progress of the building works and the proble areas encountered
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards
  • Train and mentor project team members to enhance one’s compentency
  • Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Management

Tender & Procurement Manager

Responsibilities

  • Decision on participation in tender or subsmission of jobs proposal
  • Writing, evaluating, negotiating and executing varius contracts covering a range of transactions
  • Maintaining correspondence and documentation related to contracts
  • Communicating and presenting information to stakeholders regarding contracts
  • Monitoring contracts and moving forward with close-out, extension or renewal of contracts
  • Negotiating, analyzing, preparing and revising, the contracts as and when required until closure of the contract
  • Liaison and maintain relationship between companies, employees, customers, vendors, and contractors
  • Problem-solving contract-related issues
  • Pre-contract and post contract profit and loss and cash flow projections
  • Billings to clients – follow up on all payment certification on a timely manner
  • Procurement Plan preparation/management
  • Tender & documentation preparation
  • Change Orders Management
  • Continuous improving department handbook
  • Lead projects and Construction as required.

Support & Responsibilities

  • Assist purchasing department in evaluation of suppliers
  • Attend meetings at work site together with Project department
  • Assist accounts department on collections of debts from clients
  • Assist Legal & Administration department in dispute cases and arbitration proceedings with cost data and documentations

Senior Procurement Executive

Responsibilities

  • Discover profitable supplier and initiate business and organization partnerships
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
  • Examine and test existing contracts
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarify of the specifications and expectations of the company
  • Foresee alterations in comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
  • Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Create database of Approved Vendor List
  • Updating material database matrix based on current market price
  • Any other relevant tasks given by the Management

Procurement Executive

Responsibilities

  • Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies
  • Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures
  • Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers
  • Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports
  • Create database of Approved Vendor List
  • Updating material database matrix based on current market price
  • Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Management

Quantity Survevor (Kuching, Sarawak)

Responsibilities

  • Review architectural plans and prepare quantity needs
  • Estimate the quantity and costs of material
  • Prepare contracts and documents

Quantity Assurance / Quality Control

Responsibilities

  • The preparation of the companies QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions
  • Control and the distribution of all the company’s quality documentation
  • Monitor all quality related activities on the project
  • Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the company’s management
  • Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals
  • Attend all pre-bid meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the project bidders
  • Attend client quality management meetings
  • The preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project management
  • Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
  • Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required
  • Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customers representatives
  • Monitor statistical method reporting
  • Action and close all customer complaints
  • Control all achieve documentation upon the completion of the project
  • Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Management
